CARY NC: Everybody is feeling the effects of the current recession. In our area we are not seeing
home prices drop as much as the rest of the country. One main reason is we didn’t see the
appreciation the rest of the country did from 2001 to 2006.
Although our business has slowed down we see homeowners willing to invest money in their homes.
By installing new siding with insulation and energy efficient windows they will make money on their
investment immediately. If you reduce your energy bill by 20% with an investment of 10,000 it would
pay you back every month. Unlike the stock market of late you don’t have to worry about
losing money. Take a 10-year view and you paid nothing for your improvements. You save on
energy cost, no more painting and replacing damaged siding and you increase the value of you
home. It’s the best investment any homeowner in the triangle area can make.
We look forward to a New Year and hopefully a new economy. We hope people start to invest in their
homes and feel at ease with their investment.
